Dilly Print Shop Traffic Changes

Dillingham Blvd. Construction

Dilly Print Shop will see some upcoming changes, particularly along Dillingham Blvd. We have been in communication with the Honolulu Authority for Rapid Transportation (HART) regarding the construction for the rail project. The project will affect traffic flows especially in front of our building. The new changes mean that Dillingham Blvd. will operate with one traffic lane in each direction beginning next month and will be ongoing until year 2026. We know this is a long time, and we really appreciate your patience with this new traffic layout.

As a result of these changes, left turns will be restricted for cars traveling both in and out of our driveways. Access will never be completely restricted. However, it may be restricted to just one driveway. Regardless, there will be clear signage to indicate the open driveways and where to exit. We recognize that this will cause some inconvenience for our customers and we profusely apologize for this. However, we are determined to make this information as transparent and clear as possible for tenants and customers. If you have any questions regarding the rail project, the 24-hour project line is 808-566-2299.

Printing Shop Customer Satisfaction

Harvey stopped by our printing shop looking to replicate a tag template he had and do the necessary printing and cutting. Of course this is something we can do, no problem! The order was complete and ready for pick up within the next few days. When he came in to pick up, he was very impressed with how quickly it was completed. And it turned out great!

Professional Printing

We helped Sue print her first batch of business cards. She came back a few weeks later because she needed more of them. Sue had called a few other print shops in her search process that were closer to home. She was not happy with the poor customer service over the phone and decided to come back to us. She prioritizes customer service, and so do we! She had to recover her old files so that she could re-print the same business cards, but she was glad she did. It’s graduation season and our printing services can help! It’s time for graduation announcements and party invitations for the Class of 2019. High schools in Hawaii are known for having elaborate high school graduations. Thousands of leis, flowers and people gather to celebrate high school and college graduations. It is a wonderful time for graduates and their families.

Printing Invitations and Announcements

We are happy to be apart of this time, with helping to print invitations or graduation announcements. We have seen some very creative ones for the class of 2019 and we like seeing all the happy graduates and their bright futures. We know high school graduations are a big celebration in Hawaii, it’s a happy time for everyone. It can be useful to send out graduation announcements to let family members and relatives know the details of your ceremony so they can celebrate with you!

Our Dilly Print Shop gets pretty busy on Saturdays. People are coming in to print fliers and anything and everything they need on their days off. We know that’s when most people do their errands, on the weekends, so we expect big crowds on the weekends.  We also know that most other print shops are closed on the weekends.

We are open on Saturdays, every Saturday!  We are closed on Sundays, which is why our Saturdays get pretty busy at the dilly print shop.  Here are some tips to be efficient when you come in.

Tips to Get the Job Done Fast

  1. Come in with your documents ready to print, with minimal to no changes. These print customers are usually in and out the fastest.  They are ready to go.
  2. Bring your document as a PDF and word file, on a flash drive.  Also, email the file to yourself just as a secondary measure. We also recommend this to our print shop customers.
  3. Come in early.  The early bird gets the worm!

These are just some of our tips to help you get your printing done quickly. We know weekends get busy pretty quickly, so we want to make this as easy as possible!

Holiday Printing Services

The holidays bring in a high demand for printing cards, letters and invitations. Because of the rush of it all, it seems like most of the printing is done at the last minute or right before the event! The end of the year can be busy for many, and the weekends fill up fast with family events, shopping agendas and Santa events for the keiki.

Print Shop Open Saturdays

Geraldine called us on a Saturday needing to print cards. She needed them that day for her flight to LA the following day. So we asked her to come in with the necessary pictures and things to go inside the card. When she arrived, she realized she had forgotten to bring the picture and also left her phone at home! But we still took care of her! We have guest computers available in the lobby for our customers to use. She used our computers to pull up her email and got the photos to us. While we were working on the layout for the card, she mentioned that she typically goes to another print shop on Saturdays. However, that location recently closed their services on Saturdays. Geraldine found us on Yelp and saw that we are open on the weekends and even closer to home for her.

Print Shop has Fast Turnaround Time

The print shop is pretty fast at turnaround time for our print jobs. We’ve had customers email things the day of and we can get it out to them by the evening. We’ve even had partial orders placed and then the customer will add on more to the order the next day and we’re still able to organize it all into one print job.

Print Shop Work Samples

Jordanna called the print shop on Thursday afternoon inquiring about some funeral programs she needed. She wasn’t sure of what she wanted, or any specific layout. So, we invited her to stop by and check out some of our past print jobs to see if we could do anything similar for her. We hold onto past print jobs sometimes to show work samples to future customers.

 

After she got an idea of what she wanted, she planned to send us pictures, names and details by Friday so we could have the programs ready for pickup for the funeral on Saturday afternoon.

The Final Product

Once she sent everything to us we were able to compile it all into the layout she wanted. It was a simple program and a simple layout, so we were happy! We got all the documents from her Friday afternoon and had the programs ready for pickup by Saturday morning. Jordanna was really happy with the final product and happy that they were ready in time. We love making our print shop customers happy!

Dilly Print Shop Meets Paul

The dilly print shop ohana can help you with formatting for your print jobs. For example, some of our print shop customers need help with formatting online documents that are limited with editing. We can help you with that.

Paul Visits the Dilly Print Shop

Paul visited us one day because he wanted to print some invitations. He only had evite invitations but he wanted to print a few and deliver them in person. We had to do a new layout with him other than the original evite PDF because of the special formatting. We were limited with copying and pasting because of the evite format, so we had to get creative.

He was understanding of the necessary layout and didn’t have a problem with waiting while we were drafting a sample. While he was hanging out in the lobby, he used the available computers to find some images to add to the invitations!

The Final Product

He loved the sample we brought out to him and was happy with the result. He even wanted us to add our dilly print shop logo to the back so that everyone who received an invitation would know of us! Thanks Paul for stopping by, it was nice to meet you!

Printing Services for Ian with Pest Tech

We’ve taken care of the printing services for Ian with Pest Tech since 2016.  He’s been a loyal client and has been returning to us for all his business printing needs.  We’ll do invoices, announcements, and other documents. 

Ian would always send us emails of feels that he needed to be printed.  We’d have all the files in our email, and would prepare them for him for pick up.  So, we’d only see him when he’d come in to pick up documents. It was an efficient process for him.

Since last year, Ian has had a representative come in, Guy, to let us know about their printing services needs.  Instead of emailing us documents, Guy will physically drop by to put requests in.  He’ll come in to drop off a copy of the original document and tells us the specifications, quantity, etc.  We’ve seen him a lot recently, especially on Saturdays.  We reminded him that he can email us instead of physically stopping by, to help save him time!  We’ve saved their past forms on file if they need to make future copies of the same document.  Guy said he prefers to hand them to us though, it lets him get out of the office for a little bit!

Print Shop for DMV Customers

Those coming from the DMV typically find our print shop to be the most convenient for them.  We have a lot of customers and clients in need of copying official documents and printing certain things for DMV forms and applications.  

Nearest Print Shop to the DMV

A new customer of ours, John, recently moved here from California.  He was at the DMV because he was about to receive his car in shipment from California.  He had been at the DMV since 9 in the morning and came to us around 2:45 in the afternoon.  John was in need of printing some documents for his DMV registration process.  

 

We felt so bad for him that he had practically been there all day and still wasn’t able to register his car correctly!  He didn’t seem as frustrated as we did for him!  

John is a Happy Camper

Since that day he’s been coming in every other day to print more documents for the DMV. He’s hoping to get his car in some time this week so he can start work soon!  John commented that we were so nice to him his first day at the DMV that he knew just where to go for his copy needs the next time!
